Seahorse

Hello boys and girls,
this is a picture of a male seahorse giving birth to baby seahorses (also known as fry). The tiny white "things" are the babies.
The babies are developed at birth and the parents do not give any care or protection to their young after they are born.

There are three very short video clips featuring a daddy seahorse giving birth on this website.

Hi Bryan,
the white things are floating beside the father sea horse (on the right hand side). The sunken part of the body is the pouch where the eggs were kept. The pouch opens up when he is giving birth.
